Robert "Bob" G. Schmidt, of Waukesha, died on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the age of 57 years.

Bob was born on July 28, 1955 in Port Washington, WI, the son of Raymond and Beatrice (Dreblow) Schmidt.

He started his career in the auto industry working for Kennedy Chrysler/Hub in 1976 and became their shop foreman. In 1989, Bob and Amy started their own business along with his brother called Professional Auto where they ultimately expanded with two locations until 2000. He then went on to work for the Catholic Urban Academy as a maintenance manager until he took the position as a facilities director with St. Mary Catholic Church from 2005 until present.

Bob was a very dedicated and loyal contribution to the staff at St. Mary's Catholic Church and campus school and will be very missed by all who became his dear friends. Bob was a member of St. William Catholic Church.

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Amy (nee Wick); his children, Steve and Alyssa, both at home, and his four-legged companions, Ernie and Fancy. He was the dear brother of Jeff (Jacqueline) Schmidt of Fond du Lac, WI, Bonita (Gerald) Sharpee of North Carolina, Barbara (Gary) Ovans of Minoqua, WI, Susan (Joseph) Schneider of Fredonia, WI, and Joan (Jon) Miles of North Carolina; and mother-in-law, Arlene Wick of Elm Grove, WI. He was further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

He is preceded by his parents.

The visitation for Bob was held on January 9 & 10, 2013 with Mass of Christian Burial at St. William Catholic Church. Rev. Curt Frederick officiated. Burial followed at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. William Catholic Church or St. Mary Catholic Church.
