Cyril Blaul enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 10, 1917. He reported to duty on July 25 and was mustered in on August 3, 1917. He was wounded severly in France during World War I. After coming back to Chicago he held a job as a chauffer before he died in 1920. He was the son of Franz and Anna (Ulrich) Blaul and brother of Gilbert Blaul.
