Charles M. Schneider
Charles M. Schneider, 69 2104 Hayes Street, died at a Nashville hospital at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a nine weeks' illness. Mr. Schneider was a well known local musician and musical instrument expert.
Funeral services have not been announced.
Mr. Schneider was for 20years connected with the Starr Piano Company and for 17 years was with M. F. Shea Piano Company until his retirement three years ago.
He was a member of the East End Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir for a number of years and took great interest in the Men's Bible Class. He was also a member of the Edgefield Masonic Lodge. A talented musician he played the piano, guitar and mandolin, and wrote several pieces of poetry which were set to music. He attended the Nashville public schools and private institutions, studying piano and voice.
Survivors are two brothers, Thomas G. and James William Schneider; three sisters, Mrs. James A. Price, Mrs. Edward J. Smyth and Sister Agatha, O.P. of St. Cecillia Academy, all of Nashville.

SCHNEIDER -- Saturday afternoon, September 13, 1941, at 4 o'clock at a local infirmary, Charles M. Schneider, age 69 years. survived by the following brothers and sisters, Thomas G. and James William Schneider; (sister), Agatha, O.P. of St. Cecillia Academy, Mrs. James A. Price and Mrs. Edward J. Smyth all of Nashville. The remains are at the Marshall Funeral Home, 129 Eighth Avenue, South, whee funeral services will be held this (Monday) afternoon, September 15th at 2 o'clock, conducted by Dr. E. P. Anderson. Members of the Men's Bible Class of the East end Methodist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers; active will be Charles H. Yarbrought, J. D. Stone, W. D. Richards, Carl Campbell, J. W. Jakes and C. t. Read. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Directors in charge.
