ASHTABULA — Rev. Henry H. Roberts, age 91, founder and former pastor of Revival Center Church, now Pentecostal Church of God on Cook Road, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 20, 2013, at the Saybrook Landing, where he had resided the past two and a half years.
He was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Iaeger, W.Va., the son of Joseph and Ella (Damrom) Roberts and had resided in Ashtabula since 1961, when he came and founded the Revival Center Church and continued serving there until his retirement in 1983. He evangelized for 10 years prior to coming to Ashtabula.
Rev. Roberts was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Force serving in the Pacific Theatre in World War II, he was a proud and honored veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Angie A. (Cook) Roberts, whom he married on Jan. 28, 1946 in West Virginia; two sons, Mitchell (Linda) Roberts of Watumpka, Ala. and Rev. Kenneth (Debbie) Roberts of Ashtabula; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Roberts of Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Tammy, Joe, Kenneth, Tabitha, Hannah, Johathan, Rachel, and Joshua; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
His parents; a son, Ira Joseph Roberts; and his siblings, Drewey, Dewey, Clyde, Oliver, Clairanda, Frances, Mary, Nancy, Beulah, Lydia, Florence and Alene all preceded him in death.
The family would like to thank and express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Saybrook Landing and to Tridia Hospice for the care and attention they have given to both Rev. and Mrs. Roberts.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Monday, at the Pentecostal Church of God, 2201 Cook Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Thomas McFadden, of the Family Worship Center in Painesville, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until Noon, Monday, at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Pentecostal Church of God Building Fund at the above address or Tridia Hospice, 1933 St. Rt. 45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010, envelopes will be available at the church.

ASHTABULA — Rev. Henry H. Roberts, age 91, founder and former pastor of Revival Center Church, now Pentecostal Church of God on Cook Road, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 20, 2013, at the Saybrook Landing, where he had resided the past two and a half years.
He was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Iaeger, W.Va., the son of Joseph and Ella (Damrom) Roberts and had resided in Ashtabula since 1961, when he came and founded the Revival Center Church and continued serving there until his retirement in 1983. He evangelized for 10 years prior to coming to Ashtabula.
Rev. Roberts was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Force serving in the Pacific Theatre in World War II, he was a proud and honored veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Angie A. (Cook) Roberts, whom he married on Jan. 28, 1946 in West Virginia; two sons, Mitchell (Linda) Roberts of Watumpka, Ala. and Rev. Kenneth (Debbie) Roberts of Ashtabula; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Roberts of Montgomery, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Tammy, Joe, Kenneth, Tabitha, Hannah, Johathan, Rachel, and Joshua; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
