Larry B. Allen Sr., 46, of 718 First St., Palmerton, died Friday in Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of D. (Scherer) Allen. They would have been married 25 years next month.
He was a repairman for Horsehead Resource Development, formerly New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, for 27 years, and a shop steward for the United Steelworkers of America, Local 3317, Palmerston.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Lloyd Sr. and Lois I. (Kresge) Allen.
He was a member of Calvary's Light Fellowship Church, Palmerton.
He was an Army veteran, serving as a specialist 4th class in the Vietnam War and later attaining the rank of quartermaster.
