Fillmore Pioneer Passes Away at Omaha Thursday

Mary Agnes (Braden) Spohn, formerly of Geneva, Nebraska, was born at Ohio, Ill., February 2, 1877. She passed away at Omaha, March 28, 1963, aged 86 years, 1 month and 28 days.
She was brought to Nebraska in 1879 by her parents who had purchased a farm south of Exeter where she lived until she was united in marriage to Philip Spohn October 5, 1896, at Utica, Nebraska.
Mr. Spohn passed away in 1931. Her father, mother, two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clara Steffgen, Mrs. Larry (Rose) Ayers of Albany, Oregon, Mrs. Howard (Elva) O'Donnell of Omaha and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Callicote of Grand Junction, Colorado, eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at St. Vincent's Home Chapel in Omaha with interment at Exeter, Nebraska. The Rosary was recited at Healy Mortuary Sunday at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Spohn suffered a stroke January 3, 1953, and had resided at St. Vincent's Home since November 1954.
