A. Dale Nally, 55, died suddenly in Miami, Florida on November 22, 2013. He was born October 29, 1958 in Nelson County and lived in the Nelson County area until graduating from Nelson County High School in 1976. He attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, University of North Carolina in Charlotte, and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and in 1990 completed a Residency Internship in Tokyo, Japan.


He was an artist from within. His art has been exhibited and sold in many major cities in the United States. Corporate collections are exhibited in Dallas, Miami, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Buenos Aries, Argentina, and in Tokyo, Japan. A. DALE NALLY STUDIO, is currently located in the Wynwood District of Miami, Florida. Dale traveled to many countries and his studio exhibits antique artifacts from places visited. He loved and celebrated life and it's beauty each day.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J.C. and Marie Nally; maternal grandparents, Otto Lee and Esther Lee Walker; and his father, Carl W. "Sonny" Nally.


He is survived by his mother and step-father, Fern Walker Blanford and C.A. Blanford, both of Bardstown; brother, G. Dean Nally of Big Sky, MT; sister and brother-in-law, Carla Nally Taylor and Joseph S. Taylor of Bardstown; step-siblings, Janie Bullock, Michael Blanford, Perry Blanford, Betty Sue Hodges, Cindy Blanford, and Rebecca Blanford; nephew, Bryce Riley of New Hope; three nieces, Collette Riley, Devin Cecil, and Casie Taylor all of Bardstown; great-nephew, Aiden Carey; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, many beloved friends, and lastly his dog, Gaston.


His memorial service will be 7:00 pm Saturday December 14, 2013 at Barlow Funeral Home, with a private burial at a later date. Mike Lanway will officiate. Visitation will be 1 – 7 pm Saturday at Barlow Funeral Home.
