G.B. HALYBURTON TAKEN BY DEATH

Mr George B Halyburton, 77 years of age, died at his home in Taylorsville Tuesday afternoong, his death resulting from a paralysis. He had been paralyzed for the past six or seven years. Mr Halyburton was a brother of Deputy Sheriff T.M. Halyburton of Statesville and was father of Edgar Maurice Halyburton, said to be the first American soldier captured in the World War, and author of World War Stories. The funeral was held Wed afternoon at 3 O'clock in Taylorsville
