SHREVEPORT, LA-Olney Faye Meadows Braselton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, after a brief illness at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, Monday, November 25, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM at Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery.

Faye was born February 2, 1924 in Lisbon, LA. She grew up in Homer, LA, and resided in Shreveport for the last 60 years. She attended LA College, LA Tech and Centenary College, and was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband Grady E. Braselton, her parents, Olney N. and Alice Meadows, two sisters, Beverly W. McElwee, and Jessie Dean Smith, and two brothers, James H. Meadows and Charles L. Meadows. She is survived by two loving sons, Randy G. Braselton and wife Stephania of Shreveport, and Gaylan F. Braselton of Tyler, TX., two granddaughters, Theresa R. Braselton of Dallas, TX, and Melissa A. Braselton and great-grandson Oliver Aaron Richey, both of Birmingham, AL.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Highland Hospital and Drs. Murdock, Trawick, and Krause for their loving and professional care.
