Barber Dies
Ashland Man, 59 Succumbs to Short Illness.
Ashland - Lewis J. Knapp, 59, Ashland barber, died at 3 a.m. today at his home, 838 West Main street, after an illness of two weeks.
He was born in Ashland and lived in Loudonville and Shelby for a number of years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs Christina Knapp; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Moore; a granddaughter; one brother, Fred, Ashland; two sisters, Mrs. D. R. Ewing, Altoona Pennsylvania and Mrs. Emma Graf, Loudonville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the home, in charge of Rev. A. H. Smith, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church. Burial will be in Ashland cemetery. Friends may call at the home from Friday morning until 1 p.m. Saturday.
