Patricia Ann Kozarek of Tomah, WI, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, at her
home. She was born to John H. and Ada B. (Durand) Koors in Duluth, MN. She
attended Central High School and was graduated magna cum
laude with a five-year degree in medical technology/chemistry
from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. She worked
briefly in Gallipolis, OH, the Minnesota Board of Health in
Minneapolis, and on the Manhattan Project in Chicago.

She married C.E. Kozarek on May 6, 1944 in
Minneapolis. After his service in the Army, they moved to
Tomah in 1947 where her husband practiced medicine,
maintaining his own clinic until 1985 when it joined the Mayo
Health System.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Gerald D. Koors, and
her infant sons Thomas and Paul. Survivors include her children Nancy (Fred) Roehlig
and their children Lora (Shane) Goodnight and Mark (Carrie) Watson; Dr. Richard
(Linda) and their children Katie Kozarek and Ellen (Troy) Follmar; Elizabeth (Thomas)
Jensen and their children Christopher (Alice) and Andrew (Monica) Jensen; Dr. John
(Darlene) and their children Emily, Katherine, and Robert Kozarek; Kathryn (Jason)
Jones and their daughter Megan Jones; Robert (Laura) and their children Kelly (Rob)
Henerey and Glenna (Bob) Reinhardt; and Dr. James (Karen) and their children John and
David Remarek; and great-grandchildren Brady and Morgan Watson, Lyla Follmar,
Garrett, Leah, Colleen and Sabrina Jensen, and Holden and Phoebe Henerey.

Pat loved her family and always looked forward to family gatherings. She was an avid
gardener and was a member of the Tomah Women's Study Club for many years. Pat had
many friends that she held dear. A special thanks from the family goes to her all her
friends and neighbors who visited Pat on a regular basis for brightening her days. Thanks
as well to her wonderful caregivers who treated her with love and respect.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 18, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at the St.
Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomah. Monsignor Richard Gilles will
officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are
invited for visitation Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral
Home, Tomah. The family wants to thank all their friends for their support and well
wishes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tomah Public Library or to
Hospice Touch. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with
arrangements
