On Jan. 31, 1920,
Michael F. & Cora Captain, ages 24 & 18, were renting a home on Main St. in Peoria, Ottawa Co, OK. Michael had a job as a Miner.

On April 3-5, 1930,
Frank & Cora, ages 43 & 28, lived in a home they owned in Peoria, Ottawa Co, OK valued at $400. Other members of the household were Homer Sullivan, age 20, & George Captain, 4 years & 1 month. Homer, a Zinc Miner, was Cora's brother. George was Frank's nephew.

On April 19, 1931, early in the morning, at 4:05 a.m. Cora died at home from post-operative shock. She had lived 29 days, 3 months, & 5 days.

News about her death was published in the Miami Daily News Record on Sunday, April 19, 1931.

"Mrs. Frank Captain Dies at Peoria Home
Peoria, Okla., April 18 - (Special) - Mrs. Frank Captain, 29 years old, died at 4 o'clock Saturday morning at her home.

Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon, but the place and time had not been announced Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Captain is survived by her husband, Frank Captain; her mother, Mrs. Joe Ball of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Crousatte of Peoria and Mrs. Tom Curtain of the East Side, and one brother, Homer Sullivan of Peoria.

Burial will be in Captain cemetery."

"Mrs. Frank Captain Dies
Mrs. Cora Sullivan Captain, who was born Dec. 13, 1962, died April 18, at the age of 29 years. She had been in poor health for several weeks, and finally succumbed in the Freeman hospital at Joplin.

The body was removed from the hospital to the Buzzard Undertaking parlors at Seneca, Mo., and prepared for burial. It was then taken to her home in Peoria, where she lived most of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Captain; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Cousatte of Peoria, Mrs. Tom Curtain of District No. 5; one brother, Homer Sullivan of Peoria; her mother, Mrs. Joe Ball of Peoria and a host of more distant relatives and friends.

The funeral was conducted at the East Side Christian church last Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. Nichols, Pentecostal minister of Picher.

The Pentecostal choir from Senneca had charge of the music, assisted by a part of the East Side choir.

More than 500 Persons attended the funeral.

Burial was in the Captain cemetery."
