R. Howard Holt, 77, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013 in Fairview Cemetery with Jeffery Holt, Mr. Holt's grandson and youth minister at Trinity Baptist Temple in Fort Worth, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Holt was born March 27, 1936 in Dallas. He married Norma "Sue" Cobb on October 29, 1953 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2005. He began working at the age of 14 and became a master plumber for Malcolm Hinkle for 18 years. Howard moved to Euless where he owned and operated C & H Plumbing in Grapevine, retiring in 2001. He returned to Pampa in 2004. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Howard was preceded in death by two brothers, Herb Harvey and J. B. Holt, and a sister, Barbara Callaway.

Survivors include three sons, Alan Holt and wife Athena of Haltom City, Joel Holt and wife Falene of Grapevine, and Chet Holt of Old Glory, a sister, Thelma Jo Jackson of Texas, seven grandchildren, Brittany Espinosa and husband Chris, Justin Holt and wife Sheila, Alana West, Jared Holt and wife Jennifer, Brian Holt and wife Loren, Jeffery Holt and wife Ashley and Jentri Huffman and husband Patrick, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Holt was a master plumber for Malcolm Hinkle for 18 years. He moved to Euless, where he owned C&H Plumbing in Grapevine.

Survivors include three sons, Alan Holt of Haltom City, Joel Holt of Grapevine and Chet Holt of Old Glory; a sister, Thelma Jo Jackson of Texas; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
