Elizabeth's husband, Alexander, died November 6, 1934; Elizabeth died January 5, 1938 at Southwick Bank, Colvend, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland from cardiac dropsey arteriosclerosis rehumatoid arthritis for three years. Neither Elizabeth nor Alexander appear to have a grave marker as of December 9, 2023.
