Charley Frank Applegate, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2007.
He was a combat decorated veteran in the Pacific during World War II.
He was born July 5, 1925 in Richmond, KY, where he was a cattle and tobacco farmer.
He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and enjoyed riding Indians and Harleys.
Charley moved to Brevard County in 1955, was active in politics, and was a founding councilman for the city of Cape Canaveral, where he built and managed residential rentals.
Charley is survived by his wife, Ada; sons, Don and John, and grandchildren, Destin, Adela, Jenny and Randy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19th, 6-8 p.m. at Wylie Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Richmond, KY.
Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
