McGHEE, Ulys Doyle Age 71, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton after an extended illness.

He was born December 9, 1935 in Clinton, Tennessee to Ulysses G. & Bessie Mae (McMahan) McGhee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Lynn McGhee; one daughter, Karen P. Irby; and by one brother, Bennie McGhee.

Doyle is survived by his dedicated, loving wife and caretaker, Jane Ella McGhee; three sons, Darrell & Betty McGhee, Lloyd & Amy McGhee, and Danny & Michele Malott; three daughters, Kathy & Junior Burchfield, Ella & Scott Hix and Norma Jane & Anthony McGhee; special grandson, Darron McGhee, who resides with Doyle and Jane, and 29 other special grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Doug & Faye McGhee; and by four sisters, Delma, Cleta, June and Flossie; mother-in-law, Norma L. Yount; brother-in-law, Lloyd & Polly Roberson; sister-in-law, Mary & Mike Barker; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, John Blackford, Jack Kent, Keith Maggard, Wade Brock, and Wes & Wendy Wells; and by his special nurses at Hospice of Dayton, Beth, Debbie, Teresa, and Prudence. Doyle retired as a carpenter.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Doyle to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
