Margaret Buell is the daughter of Oliver & Polly (Wilcox) Buell. She married at Clinton. Conn., by Rev. Asa King, 29th November, 1830, to Leander Norton, and removed to Chester, Conn. Their four children were:
1. Sarah Mariah Norton, born at Chester, Conn., 4th December, 1831. She married, 21st November, 1861, Elias J. Isbel, and now (1866) resides at Clinton, Conn.
2. Caroline Cornelia Norton, born at Clinton, Conn., 19th December, 1833. She was married by Rev. E. S. Doolittle, 24th September, 1856, to H. S. Dolph, and removed to Essex, Conn., where she now (1865) resides.
3. Edwin Nettleton Norton, born at Chester, Conn., 26th January, 1836. He was married at Essex, Conn., 22d September, 1858, to Cynthia Post, of Essex, Conn.
4. Henry Norton, born at Clinton, Conn., 18th August, 1838. Not married in March, 1865.
