He was married to Clarine E. Hathaway in Wood Co., OH on Dec. 26, 1892. They were the parents of Harry Ivan Morgan and Maxieve Frances Morgan. He and Clara later divorced, and he was married to Lucile Bates. They were the parents of two daughters, Zora Lu and Lenore Akers Morgan. He was construction superintendent of Southern Mineral Corp., and was in the oil business in Wichita Falls before coming to Corpus Christi. At one time he was employed by Standard Oil company in China. He died of exhaustion just 5 days after his 64th birthday.
He is survived by two daughters, Zora Lu, age 12, and Lenore Akers, aged 2; by two sisters, Mrs. Kate Hirst and Mrs. Ruth Rinehart, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., and one brother, Harry Morgan of Long Beach, Calif.
