Mae Olivia (Boyer) Holder, 99 years old, a resident of Matlock Place in Arlington, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2013. She was born September 27, 1914, in Collin County, Texas to Leonard and Myrtle (Ballard) Boyer. She married Woodrow Wilson Holder on July 16, 1932, in Van Alstyne Texas. They were married almost 68 years when he preceded her in death. One son Jerry Wayne Holder also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 11 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and one sister.
Mae was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and other creative and artistic activities. She loved the Lord and was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Irving, Texas. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013, from 9:00am until 11:00am. Funeral service will follow at ll:00am officiated by Rev. Karlan Fairchild at Scoggins Funeral Home In Van Alstyne with burial to follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
