Millie was the daughter of Louis Hobia and Agnes Wesley Hobia, the third child of ten children. She was born on the old home place of John and Polly Wesley, that was known as Wesley Corner in Okfuskee County, but was raised in the Greasy Creek area. She always recalled good memories of Greasy Creek, with her brothers and sisters as a young child growing up. She attended Eufaula Boarding School, Seneca Indian School and went on to graduate from Chilocco Boarding School in 1958. She continued her education and graduated from Seminole Junior College in Seminole, Oklahoma with an Associate degree. She worked under the Johnson-O'Malley program as tutor in the Wetumka School District. After the death of her mother in 1963, she became a mother figure to all her younger brothers and sisters. Many times she took them into her home, guiding them and taking care of them when needed. She was foster parent to many Indian children as well. She was of the Wotko Clan and an active member with the Kialegee Tribal Town. When James Wesley was elected Kialegee Mekko, the top five put in office were James Wesley, Betty Holtuika, Tom Barnes, Pauline Green and herself. She is the last of the original top five. She enjoyed praising God through songs. Her talent of singing came because she loved the Mvskoke hymns and asked for God's help in learning to sing them so she could praise him through singing. She could be heard by visitors sitting outside on the camp house porch. She was preceded in death by Amos Crowels, Howard Scott, James Larney, her parents, Louis and Agnes Hobia, 2 brothers, Melford Larkin Hobia and Elliott Lee Hobia; and one grandson, Jon-Mical Grant Riley.
