RUTH ELEANOR JENT
RUTH ELEANOR JENT passed away peacefully of natural causes at Harmony Ridge Assisted Living facility in Philadelphia PA, on November 13, 1913 at the age of 98.
Ruth is predeceased by her mother, Lina; her father Charles; and her sister, Elizabeth Jent Townsend and husband, Floyd W. Townsend. She is survived by her niece, Ruth E. Townsend of Ocean City NJ and her nephew, Robert Townsend and his wife, Judith of Poquoson VA. Ruth is lovingly remembered by her great nieces and nephews Krista L. Grasser, Kari A. Yeagley, and Robert W. Townsend Jr. and their children Sebastian Grasser, Jack Yeagley, Chloe Yeagley, Andrew Yeagley, Sadie Townsend, and Dean Townsend.
Ruth was born in Philadelphia PA in 1915 and resided in the city her whole life. She graduated from Girls High School in 1932 and was hired by Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company as a file clerk. She worked her way up in the company, eventually to the Executive Suite, becoming the personal secretary for five presidents. She retired after 48 years of faithful service in 1980.
The Funeral Service will be held at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 80 Stenton Ave., in Plymouth Meeting PA, on Tuesday, November 19, at 1 P.M. BURNS FUNERAL HOME will officiate at the Service which will be followed immediately by Interment.
