Dale was born September 18, 1934 in Coldwater, MI to Henry and Lillian (D'Water) Covey. He married Bonnie Hodge on April 14, 2012. Dale was a devoted husband and father who spent most of his working career as a truck driver with Randall Beans in Tekonsha, MI where he ultimately retired from. He and Bonnie were both members of the Oasis of Love Church. Dale enjoyed playing pool, country music, and doing word search puzzles. He held a particular passion for classic cars, watching the Barrett Jackson Car Auctions, old time westerns, and always appreciated the excitement that came with watching a big time wrestling match. As his family grew, so did his titles from husband and father to loving grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather; titles that he carried with great pride and unconditional love.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Dale is survived by his children Ronda (Carlos) Wallen, James (Wanda) Covey both of Coldwater, Douglas (Thoa) Covey of San Diego, CA, David Covey of TX, Vickie (Ray) Conley of Belding, MI; his step-son Gary Karn of Coldwater; his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; his loving nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Rascal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Helen Fullingtion, his second wife Virginia Brown, his sons Lloyd and Jackie Covey, his grandsons Louis and James D. Covey and his sister Sylvia Greeg.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Fresenius Kidney Care.
