Obituary:
Mrs. Leah Lindsay Devilbiss, 92, of Old New Windsor Road, near New Windsor, died Sunday, Jan. 12, at Carroll County General Hospital, Westminster, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Milton E. Devilbiss who predeceased her in 1969. Born Sept 29,1893, in Carroll County, Mrs. Devilbiss was a daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Baile Lindsay. Mrs. Devilbiss was a lifelong member of Pipe Creek (Brick) United Methodist Church of Wakefield Valley.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hesson, New Windsor, and Mrs. Kitty Baile Brand, Newport News, Va.; one son, M. Howard Devilbiss, near Westminster; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the New Windsor Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the funeral home. The Rev. Jane Cain Billingslea, her pastor will officiate. Interment will be in the Brick Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brick Church, c/o Raymond Barnes of 723 Hook Road, Westminster, Md. 21157.
