John E. Albrycht of Burlington, beloved husband of Ann C. (Aliski) Albrycht, to whom he was married to for 62 years, completed his journey on earth peacefully Saturday (November 11, 2000). Born in Southington, January 2, 1917, he lived in Canton and Hobe Sound, FL, prior to moving to Burlington 25 years ago. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard and had a great love for animals. He was a communicant at the Church of St. Ann in Avon. Besides his loving wife, he leaves his two sons, Gary Albrycht of Burlington and Ronald and his wife, Florence Albrycht of Canton; a granddaughter, Lisa of Canton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sophie Follert; and his two brothers, Theodore Petroff and Adam Albrycht. He will be sadly missed by his little white fluffy dog ``Annie'' whom he loved so very much. At his request, there will be no calling hours and the burial will be private at the convenience of the family. His final resting place will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Avon. Those who wish may send memorial contributions in his name to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Hartford Chapter, Inc., 443 Franklin Ave., Hartford, CT 06114. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rte. 4, Unionville.
