Belpre - Lula Brewer , 98 , of Belpre died at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital Monday , July 4 after an extended illness . She was born in Portland , Meigs County to William and Mary E. Bates Ward . She spent her early life in Stiversville , Meigs County , and lived in Belpre for the past 62 years . She is survived by two sons , Ray of Marietta and Norris " Bud " of Spokane , Wash. ; five daughters , Lucy Camden of Belpre , Ruby Adolphson of Saxton , Pa. , Ella May Brewer at home , Ethel Osborne of Akron and Eloise Anderson at home ; 25 grandchildren , several great-grandchildren ; several great-great-grandchildren ; one brother , Lawrence Ward of Long Beach , Calif. ; and two sisters Ethel Cozart of Cleveland and Elsie Roush of Portland . She was preceded in death by her husband , Charlie Brewer , in 1957 ; eight children ; and five grandchildren . Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Spencer Funeral Home , Brepre , with Paster Howard Mayne officiating , burial will be in Stiversville Cemetery , Meigs County .
