Husband of Sarah (Stevens) Lindsey (1790-1871). Veteran of the War of 1812. Brother of Elizabeth Lindsey who was the wife of Michael Miller (1780-1860) another Veteran of the War of 1812. Jacob was the son of Alexander Lindsey and Mary (Clawson) Lindsey.

Please note: Jacob was listed as "Isaac Lindsey" in the 1850 census with his wife, Sarah, and children Nancy, Mary, James, Cyrus and Laura Lindsey.

(So far I have found eleven children for Jacob Lindsey and Sarah Stevens including: Elizabeth, Nancy, Alexander, Mary, Willis, Jacob, Samuel, John, James, Cyrus and Laura Lindsey.)
