Daughter of Michael Beltran and Anna Nelson

Married: Raymond H. Nelson, 19 April 1950 in Hailey, Blaine, ID

In loving memory of Marian Nelson, 82, of Hailey who passed away on November 22, 2015 in Bellevue, Idaho.

Marian was born in Bingham Canyon, Utah on February 21, 1933. Marian was the eldest daughter of Mike and Anna Beltran. She had 3 sisters, Madeline, Maxine and Martha.

The family moved to the North Star (now Triumph) in April of 1939. They then moved to Hailey in 1941. Marian completed grade school and high school and graduated in 1950.

She married the love of her life, Raymond Nelson and raised 9 children. Most of all Marian loved her family and was so proud of her kids and grandkids and their many accomplishments. On any day you could find her at a ball game sitting in her car honking the horn or yelling at an umpire.

She was an artist and a crafter, there is no telling how many Mr. and Mrs. Santas she made or how many ceramic Christmas, Halloween or Easter decorations she painted and gave away.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Raymond; her precious son James; her parents and two sisters. She is survived by 8 children; Michael (Dianne), Harold (Tammie), David (Christine), Rosalie (Richard), Paul (Leslie), Marcia (Fred), Janice (Jerry), Elena (Rex); her daughter-in-law Bunny; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; her sister Martha (John) Bolliger; brother-in-law Ted Uhrig; sisters-in-law Virginia Miller, Janice (Newell) Turner, and brother-in-law Harold (Betty) Nelson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A rosary will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2015. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015. Interment will follow funeral services at the Hailey Cemetery.

Donations may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, Po Box 789, Hailey, ID 83333 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley, Po Box 4320, Ketchum, ID 83340.
