Long Beach Press Telegram, Dec. 20, 1934:
James B. Capper, 80, a native of Beardstown, Illinois, died last night at his home, 327 Ninth Street. He was a resident here seven years and was a retired drayman. Mr. Capper belonged to the Maccabee Lodge at Council Bluffs, Iowa. Surviving are his widow, Nancy R.; a son James E. of Lomita; and five daughters; Mrs. Margaret Russell, Harbor City; Mrs. Mae Agolia, Redondo; Mrs. Dorthy [sic] Riggs, Crestline; Mrs. Eva Campell [sic], Long Beach; and Mrs. Minnie Buchanan, Omaha.
Mary A. Lull was the first wife of James Booth Capper and the mother of Davis Alonzo Capper (121480733). She was born in 1854 in Illinois and died in 1885. Her burial location in Iowa is unknown.
