Jake A. Casey, 74, of East St. Louis, died at 5:30 a.m. today in St. Mary's Hospital, East St. Louis. He retired two years ago from work in the Fairmont City maintenance department.
Mr. Casey is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Cates Casey; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Imogene) Davis of Washington Park; step-sons Isaiah Cates of Overland, Mo., and Lawrence Cates of Edwardsville; sisters Mrs. Bertie Cline of Troy and Mrs. Joe (Josephine) Kersey of Collinsville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home in Collinsville.
Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, with burial in Friedens Cemetery, Troy.
