BRANFORD - Joyce S. Brecken of Branford died Thursday at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville following a brief illness. She was 55.
Mrs. Brecken was born in Gilchrist County. She was a service representative for BellSouth and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Vera Strickland of Branford; daughters Rachel and Vera Brecken of Branford; a son, Charlie Brecken of Branford; sisters Jewel Green, Betty Brown and Linda Parrott, all of Branford, Doris Aderholt of Auburndale and Sylvia Strickland of Gainesville; and brothers Asa and Donald Strickland, both of Branford.
