Norma Hayes Owen was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 24, 1925 to Edward B. Hayes and Lena Nora (Case) Hayes. She had an older sister, Helen and a younger brother, Edward. After high school, Norma trained to be a hair stylist. She married Kenneth Owen September 1, 1946 and moved to Omaha, Nebraska where her daughters Vicki and Donna were born. Later they moved to a farm in Glenwood, Iowa. In the 1980's she and Ken followed their daughters to California to be near them and their grandchildren. Norma loved to draw and spend time with her family. She died in April of 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth B. Owen and both her siblings, Helen Hayes James and Edward B. Owen, Jr. She is greatly missed by her daughters and grandchildren.
