CANDOR - Harold H. Adams, 82, of Candor, died Sunday, August 31, 1997 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, after a long illness.
Mr. Adams was born in Painesville, Ohio, on June 21, 1915 to Martin and Ethel Adams.
He was a resident of Candor for over 60 years. Harold worked for IBM for 38 years and retired in 1980. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
Harold is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marguerite Adams of Candor; a brother, Jay Adams of Painesville, OH; a brother-in-law, Merryon (Alice) Grenolds; a special nephew, James Ojala of Ithaca; nephews, Paul, Edward and Michael Dore, William, Douglas, and James Grenolds, and Kenneth Adams; 2 nieces, Patricia Dore and Bonnie Walker.
Funeral services will be held at the Candor Funeral Parlour, Inc., 137 Main Street, Candor, on Wednesday, September 3, 1997 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Lewis E. Coffin officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor. There will be no prior calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harolds memory may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Main St., Candor, NY 13743.
