Pamela Evans was a daughter of Martha Hendrick and Revolutionary War veteran Lt. William Evans. She married James Wyche in 1806, became the mother of fourteen children (three daughters & eleven sons), and lived to the age of 80.

According to "The Reverend Thomas Johnston Allison Family History, Including Tillett [and] Wyche History", page 32, she was buried with her husband in the family cemetery. The graves having been described by Dr. Charles Wyche.
