Albert A. Acke, 78, of Sheridan, Iowa, formerly of Moline, died Friday, July 1, 1994, at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with a rosary recited at 6. Memorials may be made to the church.
Mr. Acke was born May 2, 1916, in Moline, the son of Henry and Katherine Hollebosh Acke. He married Mary DeVos Feb. 2, 1939, in Moline. She died in 1975.
He been employed at John Deere Plow Planter Works, Moline.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include sons Frank Acke, Sterling, and Edward Acke, Roseville, Calif.; grandchildren David and Robin Acke; and a brother, John Acke, Moline.
