Floyd E. Attaway, 76, father of Dennis Attaway of Beech Island, SC died Mar. 11, 1992 in Phoenix. Graveside services were held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Julius Hadden, Jr. officiated. A native of Jefferson Co., GA, Mr. Attaway had retired as a salesman for Coble Dairy. An Augusta resident for 55 years before moving to Phoenix in 1991, he was a veteran of World War II. He enlisted into the US Army Aug. 6, 1942. He was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Wrens, GA. Other survivors include a daughter, Elma Watson, Fontana, CA, brothers, John T. Attaway, Evans, GA and Leroy Attaway, Augusta, sisters, Ruby Currie and Mary Couch both of Phoenix and Maggie Bilton, FL and a grandchild.
