My grandpa, Leslie was born in Newcomb Twp, Champaign Co, Illinois USA on the Hinton family farm. I remember him as a quiet man who enjoyed smoking his pipe & wearing his jean coveralls....grandma always wanted him to put on dress pants, shirt & tie whenever they went anywhere or the family was coming over....he fought her all the time on this subject.....I preferred him in his coveralls....he was grandpa then.....lol
Grandpa was 12th generation & 10th great grandchild of Sir Thomas Hinton(1574 - 1635) & Lady Catherine Palmer (1580 - 1609), he was investor in The London Company & private investor in the Jamestown Colony......
