TAFT -- Mrs. Marie Aigner, 102, died Tuesday, January 8, 1974 [sic] at 6:30 p.m. in a Taft hospital after a short illness. She was born in Austria, lived in the United States for 99 years, and in the Taft area for 61 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Taft. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the Pieper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Taft Cemetery. She is survived by six sons; Gustav and Jim Aigner of Sinton; Adolph of Poteet, Ludwig of Taft, Erwin of Victoria, G.H. of Houston, four daughters, Mrs. Clara Herron, of Taft, Mrs. Marie Hohberg, of Poteet, Laura Hooge, of D'Hanis, Texas, Hulda Sanford, of Richmond, Texas; 32 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
