Middletown - F. JoAnn (Poffenbarger) Lazenby, 74, Middletown, died May 30, 2005 at her residence after a brief illness.

She was born February 9, 1931 in Madison County, Indiana, and was a lifelong resident of this area.

She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1983 after thirty years of service.

He was a member of the VFW Post #266 and American Legion of Middletown.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Young of Chesterfield, son, Tony Snider (Sharon) of Bossier City, Louisiana; step-son, David Lazenby of Anderson; three sisters, Doris Solomon of Florida, Jeannie Johnson of Lapel, and Pat Hodson of Middletown; five grandchildren, Michelle Shaneyfelt, Rhonda Peoples, Keri Brobston, Staci Snider, and Daniel Lenard; five great-grandchildren, Austin Peoples, Elizabeth Shaneyfelt, McKinsey Peoples, Ayden Brobston, and Addison Brobston.

She was preceded by her husband whom she married in 1970, Alvin Lazenby; parents, Hubert Poffenbarger and Opal ( Henry) Poffenbarger; brothers, Dick and Paul Poffenbarger and sister- Phyllis Bowlin.

Services will be Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 10:00 AM, at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Jeff Floyd officiating.

Cremation will take place. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
