Enlistment 26 Jul 1916 Unit embarked from Sydney, NSW, on board HMAT A19Afric on 3 November 1916.
Pte Reid served on the Western Front, where he was killed in action at Messine, Belgium, on 16 December 1917. He was 24 years of age.

Son of Robert and Mary Ann nee Gausnon Reid, of Wyndham, South Coast, NSW. His name is also on the family headstone in Wyndham Cemetery
