Edith was born Aug 30, 1926 in Puyallup, Pierce, Washington. To Veronna "Olive" (Pearson) Carr b.1902 d. 1951. Edith had one brother, Billie Stanley Carr b.Feb 13 1925 d.Jul 26 2007. Her step-father Tommy Anderson lived with her until his death in 1987. He was almost 100 years of age.
She married Orville A. Rupe on Jul 1, 1961. They were married for 28 years before his passing in 1989. Together they loved to travel to Las Vegas and Reno. Also, taking off with their trailer to go clam digging and camping. Normally joined by many of their friends in their trailers. Nothing like sitting around the campfire with a nice cool cocktail, lots of snacks and your friends.
Edith loved people. She wanted to feed and care for everyone. She was the perfect hostess and always made you feel welcome.
When it came to Holidays, she was like a little girl. She went above and beyond when it came to decorating and gifts. Everything was always festive in her home. And anyone was welcome to join in. Which they did.
As she got older and slowed a bit. She loved going to the casino with her friend Marcy about once a week for a few hours. She also loved watching TV. By now the roles had reversed and she had many friends coming in to care for her. And to see that all her needs were met so she could continue living in her home, per her wishes. She passed on Nov 11 2013, at home.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends, her step-daughter Sheila and great grand-daughter Christina.
