He was born December 8, 1946, in Richmond Heights, MO, the son of Robert A. Sr. and Hazel M. Bruntjen Fogler. He was a financial planner and accountant. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in engineering physics and worked for four years as a strategic planner on classified military projects in California. Later he received a master's degree in finance and consulting. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Kiwanis.
Surviving are his son, Robert A. "Rob" Fogler, III, of Normal; daughter, Tammy (husband Tyler) Kraemer of Colorado Springs, CO; companion, Donna Walters of Taylorville; brother, Richard (wife Mary) Fogler of Columbus, IN; sister, Jeanne (husband Jeff) Meek of Bolingbrook; brother-in-law, Dennis (wife Pam) Alexander of Bloomington; nephews: Dennis Alexander, Jr., Ryan Alexander, Jeff Meek, Richard Fogler, Jr., Nicholas Fogler and Robert Fogler; and nieces: Jennifer Meek, Leonie Fogler, Carol Fogler and Becca Fogler. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, in First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Phillip Icenogle officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, in Shafer Funeral Home.
