The family of Geo. Wakefield met with a sad bereavement on Sunday in the death of a daughter, May, aged 12 years, which occurred at eight o'clock that morning.
The disease was of a nervous character, effecting the spine and brain, supposed to have been superinduced by too close an application to her studies at school. The funeral will take place from the residence on Jackson street on Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The remains will be taken to Nepeuskun for interment in the family burying ground there, near the old homestead.
