Daughter of Harvey and Mary Findley Dickinson, member of New Hope Christian Church with family as was her first husband William Anderson Mounts. Leaves Columbus after marrying Thomas Dawley Lightning Rod salesman and Fire Insurance salesman. Former Sgt Maj in Civil War.

The many friends of Mrs. R.C. Dawley, will regret hearing of her death at her home in Cumming Georgia, yesterday of heart trouble. Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Etta Toner of this city.

November 7th, 1916 Widow Pension Claim

John L Phillips, being duly sworn according to law deposes and says: That he is 57 years of age and a resident of Cumming, Forsyth County, Georgia; that he is by profession a Funeral Director and Undertaker and has been engaged in that business at said city of Cumming Georgia, since February, A. D. 1900; that on April 24, A. D. 1900, as such Undertaker he furnished a casket in which he placed the remains of Mrs. Rachel C Dawley, wife of Thomas H. Dawley, an Insurance Solicitor, at that time and for several months previous resident at the Shadburn Hotel, in said city of Cumming; said Rachel C. Dawley having died at said Hotel, after an illness for several months, on the previous day; and that on said 24th of April, A. D. 1900, he placed the remains of said Rachel C. Dawley in said casket and interred them in the cemetery at said city of Cumming, Georgia; that he has no interest, direct or indirect in the claim in which evidence is given; and further deponent saith not.
