A long time Brunswick resident, he was the first man to be drafted into the Army from Glynn County at the start of World War II, serving in the Quartermaster Corps from 1940-1945. Mr. Adams retired from Hercules in 1977 after 28 years of service, and was a member of the Hercules Club 25 . He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Tommy Trotter Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a son, Tom W. Adams, Jr., Savannah and a sister, Louise Adams Petty, Savannah. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Revs. James E. Crandall, Jr. and Tommy McMillan officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park.
