She was born in Manchester on July 18, 1930, the daughter of Joseph Henri and Juliette (St. Gelais) Duchesne. She was educated in the local schools and was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School for Girls.
In addition to raising four boys, prior to retirement, she had been employed for many years by Sears and by the New Hampshire State Library.
Violet loved ballroom dancing, making arts and crafts and gardening. Above all else she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who cherished time spent with family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Soucy.
Burial in the N.H. Veterans Cemetery.
