Susan "Anne" (Brown) Hill was born on March 6, 1893 in Centerville, Hickman County, Tennessee, the daughter of James Henderson Brown (1859–1939) and Mary Cordelia (Ward) Brown (1868–1947).
She was married to Jouette Roulhac Hill (1888-1940), and he was the son of Thomas Roulhac Hill (1841–1916) and Margaret (Roulhac) Hill (1843–1915).
Anne had been a bookkeeper at Anderson Fish & Oyster Company and later - for 25 years - was a bookkeeper at Oman Construction Company before retiring in 1959. She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and the New Century Club, and living at 3702 Belmont Blvd in Nashville, Davidson County, she was 71 years old, a widow and had metastatic cancer when she died at Vanderbilt Hospital of bilateral pneumonia on October 6, 1964.
Survivors included her daughter Mrs Paul Crowder in Nashville, sisters Mrs Sam Bradshaw of Lebanon, Tennessee, Mrs Nell R Alexander at San Antotion, Texas and Mrs Ruby Hassell in Memphis, Tennessee and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on October 8th at Pettus-Owen & Wood Funeral Home, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison {city, not county}.
