ROBERT BANNATYNE
A son of the late Hon. A. G. B. Bannatyne, of Winnipeg, Robert Bannatyne, 69, died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. V. Plett, at Quill Lake, Sask., following a lengthy illness. The funeral will be held Tuesday at Quill Lake.
With his family, Mr. Bannatyne settled in Quill Lake 28 years ago and for many years he owned and operated the Leland hotel.
He is survived by his widow, five sons, and five daughters. Mrs. Simpson, of Winnipeg, a sister, is the only surviving member of this large Bannatyne family.

Quill Lake, Sask., July 17.--Funeral services for Robert Bannatyne were held here Tuesday afternoon in the Quill Lake United church, with the minister, Rev. W. J. Davis, in charge, assisted by Rev. Mr. Hempson, Anglican church minister, and Rev. John Alder, Baptist church minister.
The church was crowded to the door, many having to stand outside. Old pioneers living long distances out came to Quill Lake to pay their last respects to their friend. All of Mr. Bannatyne's family were present at the funeral service, his widow, Mrs. Annie Bannatyne, his daughters, Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Kruse and Miss Nova Bannatyne, all of Saskatoon, and Mrs. Plett, of Quill Lake, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Herman Bannatyne, and the sons present being Herman Bannatyne, Robert Bannatyne, Kitchener Bannatyne, Garnet Bannatyne and James Bannatyne.
Mr. Bannatyne was born in Winnipeg sixty-nine years ago and was the son of the Hon. A. G. B. Bannatyne. Mrs. Gerald Simpson, Rose street, Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, is a sister.
The pallbearers were James Marshall, Scrip post office, Sask., E. P. Gardiner, James Ingram, William Lowes, John Rodger and R. E. F. Rodgers, all of Quill Lake, Sask.
