Funeral services for Walter J. Allie, 79, of 1100-17th St., Two Rivers, retired commercial fisherman who died unexpectedly Thursday night, were at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery

Was in a terrible boat accident, which blinded him.
Mr. Allie, who suffered greatly from the injury, was assisted to a physician's office where an examination revealed that there was no hope of saving the eye, and he was immediately brought to this city and taken to the hospital and operated upon. The injured man, following the operation, was reported resting easy today. Mr. Allie is married and the father of two children.
