FLOYD JAY HOUSEMAN - Funeral services for Floyd J. Houseman, former resident of Sterling, will be held at 1:30 p.m Thursday in the Melvin Funeral Home. The Rev. LeRoy Hershiser, pastor of the First Christian Church of Sterling, will officiate and burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park.

Mr. Houseman recently resided at Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau, Wis. He died Monday morning in Waupun Memorial Hospital, Waupun, Wis., after an extended illness. Friends may call at the Melvin Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Floyd Houseman was born March 30, 1891 at Morrison, the son of Edgar and Nora Phelps Houseman. For a number of years he was employed by the Sam Frank and Ewing garages. He was married to Mabel O'Hare who preceded in 1947. He was united in marriage to Lida [Coonley] Marks who preceded Feb. 25, 1974. He was a former member of the First Christian Church of Sterling.

Surviving are one son, Edgar Houseman of Columbus, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Leta Barco of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, Kenneth Houseman of Clinton, Iowa and Fred Houseman of Morrison; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
