Arthur H. Priegnitz Sr., 92, of Woodstock and formerly of Huntley, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Valley Hi Nursing Home.
He was born May 5, 1921, in Algonquin, to William and Bertha (Pinnow) Priegnitz. On June 14, 1941, he married Ella Wienke in Crystal Lake.
He was a dairy farmer in Huntley his whole life. He also worked at Ketone Paint Service for many years delivering paint to body shops. Arthur also enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his children, Annette Kastning of Lubbock, Texas, Mary (Edward) Manke of Marengo and Arthur (Nancy) Priegnitz Jr. of Huntley; his grandchildren, Gloria (Chris) Goldbeck of Woodstock, Angela Holder of Casper, Wyo., Willard (Kathy) Kastning Jr. of Woodstock, John (Sue) Kastning of Hebron, Bruce (Dawn) Kastning of Lubbock, Texas, Todd Manke of Mundelein, Jodi (Mike) Slama of Paris, Wis., and Heather (Mike) Werner of Huntley; his great-grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, James, Mindy, Madison, Austin, Dusty, Mark, Haylee and Teresa; his great-great-grandchild, Kaylie; his sister, Elsie Frenk of Pawhuska, Okla.; and his brother, William Priegnitz of Crystal Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Dorothy Hood; his brother, Raymond Priegnitz; his granddaughter, Sharon Marie; his son-in-law, Willard Kastning Sr.; and his grandson-in-law, Henry Holder.
Services will be private. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
